RadLinks.ca Forum is a place for exchanging ideas and discussion on topics of interest to Canada’s radiology community. All registered members are encouraged to contribute to the Content. Our members are highly educated professionals and, at all times, their online behavior should reflect their respect of the ethical code of the profession. The following “Code of Conduct” aims to ensure that certain rules and guidelines are adhered to, so that all participants have a rewarding and enjoyable experience in the Forum. In addition, the functions of the “Career Center” of RadLinks.ca involves posting of paid advertising and paid browsing of online resumes; therefore, the “Code of Conduct” also seeks to protect the right of its paying members/sponsors by forbidding any kind of unpaid advertisement and solicitation, as outlined below.

Introduction:

1. Moderation and Modification on RadLinks.ca Forums:
In order to ensure compliance with the “Code of Conduct”, and to protect the dignity of all participants as well as interests of our paying parties, all postings may be moderated. Content that violates RadLinks.ca Forum “Code of Conduct” will be removed at our sole discretion. Participants are encouraged to contribute to this moderation by reporting breaches of “Code of Conduct” using the “Report Abuse / Advertising” function or sending an email to webmaster@RadLinks.ca.

2. Posting Personal Information:
Do not provide sensitive personal information on the forums, such as your name email or postal addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers and financial information. Be especially suspicious if you are asked to reveal this information in the Forum, or via other means of correspondence. You information may and can be used for identity theft, or unsolicited advertising. Consider your postings as public information. For more information, visit the Identity Theft Q&A from the Government of Canada website.

3. Spamming or Flaming:
Any type of commercial spamming or excessive flaming will not be tolerated and will be removed from the Groups. RadLinks.ca also reserves the right to limit further access of the offending member to the site, regardless of the type of membership (general or paid). RadLinks.ca also reserves the right to remove any content belonging to paying members in these situations. RadLinks.ca Forums are best used to explore issues related to radiology and enhance the function and integrity of its community, not to assault other’s ideas, beliefs or character.

4. Due Diligence in Content: Your posting bear your alias, your digital identifier. Invest in the richness of the content of your postings, as it will be a surrogate of your online professional character. Take pride in respecting your audience; write as if your identity is known to your colleagues, as if yours words are not written in cyberspace, but spoken in the presence of people you respect and desire to be respected by. Do not allow the cloak of anonymity to lull you into a false sense of security and carelessness. Review what you want to post, and if your emotions are running high, allow yourself some time to regain the moderation needed in a professional correspondence. Make your posts enjoyable and not a source of distress, to you or to others.
